Celebrate good times, come on. It’s a celebration.

Just because I’m single on Valentine’s Day, doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate. There are plenty of other good things to celebrate today, besides the Hallmark Holiday. For example…

Doc’s office called about 30 minutes ago. Biopsy results are in. Things are good, nothing malignant. If you want more details, hit me up in email — I just don’t wanna make another locked post. Hah.

My last car payment was cashed on 02/06. When we called to find out the exact amount to pay on my final car payment, the financial company gave us a different address to send the final payment in to, so that it gets the payment processed quicker and my title in the mail to me faster. The title arrived yesterday, so I’d say that definitely was fast. That car is finally mine all mine and I couldn’t be happier.

The check for my passport was cashed on 02/08. This is a promising sign that my passport is on it’s way.

Vacation time was approved for both the end of March and beginning of August. Vacations shall be had!! Hotel has already been booked to spend some time in Galveston, and we found a dolphin watching tour to take. I can’t wait for March to get here.

I’ve been footin’ the bill for some time

This morning, I put my final car payment in the mail. Soon, I’ll be getting the title in the mail, and that baby will be all mine. I’ve paid it off about 6 months early, which is even nicer. Last time I paid off a car, I had a car accident 3 days after mailing the check, and totaled the car. I’ve been knocking on wood that it won’t happen again. I’ve had enough car accidents in my life, I don’t need more. And I really like this car and want to keep it as long as possible.

I started to get annoyed with the Snap Preview thing, so I semi-turned it off. It’s set now that it will display only on links when I add extra code (IF I remember to add it). That way I can have it in the body of my posts, but not in the sidebar, etc. I also decided that, for now, I’m going to move over to the new domain, and use the crossposter to post to my old livejournal. I’m not sure how that’s going to work, though. I attempted to set it up at work today, and it gave me an error message saying it wasn’t able to access the journal. That didn’t surprise me, since work bans lj. But it also worries me, since I don’t know if it was just a set-up thing, or if it’s going to error on me every time I try to post from work and crosspost to lj. If it does, I’ll have to figure out a way around it.

Rumor is that Disney is going to make an announcement during the Super Bowl. I’ve heard some murmurs that they’re going to announce a new theme park – right here in the DFW area. That… would be very interesting, if it’s true. It would take a lot of getting used to, having something like that around here. I half wonder where they would put something like that around here. They could probably buy out and tear down our old Six Flags over Texas and use that property. But, I’m just speculating on something that is only a rumor. We’ll see what happens.
Edit: I actually did a little research this morning, and it seems that this rumor has been going around for years. It just got new legs again, and was being discussed on radio, etc. Oh well. I should’ve researched first.

I have a desperate urge to ramble tonight, yet I don’t really have anything to ramble about. I do have some health stuff going on that I’ve been debating writing about, but I don’t know if I’m ready to yet. I’ve got an appointment on Thursday, relating to it, and we’ll see how that goes. Maybe after the appointment — or after I get the results — I’ll decide to write about it.

So take your fast car and keep on driving

My car is hopefully fixed. I took it up to the shop on Friday night, so they’d have it for Saturday morning to look at. They called me midday on Saturday, because they were having problems recreating the dropping idle. They did finally get it to do it once or twice, though. They fixed the battery – it wasn’t properly installed when the guy put it in for me last week. After more tests, they called me back again. Kelly let me know that the battery/alternator/starter/cables/connections/etc were all fine. The other possible suspect for giving me those problems was some motor (I forgot what), that costs $500 to replace. But, because he wasn’t able to get it to do it more than twice, he didn’t want to condemn that motor and have me be out that much money, when he couldn’t guarantee that was the problem. He told me if this gets significantly worse, then we’ll look at that motor again; but otherwise he wasn’t going to touch it. He did also clean out the system for me, which should also help clean out that motor and keep it going. So far, so good. It hasn’t acted like it was going to stall since I picked it up Saturday afternoon. YAY!

When I was out on Saturday, I lost my cell phone. I didn’t know until about an hour after I’d lost it that it was gone. I called the last store I remembered having it in, but they hadn’t had one turned in. After I picked up my car, I was going to drive everywhere I’d been, and double check to try to find it before suspending service. When mom was dropping me off to get my car – my cellphone called her. It had been found in the PARKING LOT of the store that I’d originally thought I’d lost it at. I got VERY lucky there – since I have a RAZR, I wouldn’t have been surprised if someone kept it instead of turning it in. I also got very lucky that it didn’t get run over and crushed in that parking lot. When I picked up my cell, I tried to give them a reward, but they turned it down. I’m so so thankful I got my phone back. I didn’t wanna think about having to buy another, right as I’m paying out all this money on my car.
