I’m afraid of 4 out of 72 common fears.

I stoled this from paksenarrion2. I added my own notes to the side of a few fears, esp since I didn’t check some just because my related fear is a tiny subset of the category. 😉

[ ] being a parent (in a way, I am, but just because I don’t want to be one. 😉 )

[ ] my boyfriends/girlfriends dad
[ ] boyfriends/girlfriends mom
[ ] rats
[x] jumping from high places (I’m not scared of jumping from high places in a controlled environment, ie bungee jumping or from a plane. I’m scared of breaking bones, not the actual jumping. Ha.)

… if you wish to post this in your journal, it’s been requested that you title it “I’m afraid of _ out of 72 common fears”

If you get more than 30, I strongly recommend some counseling
If you get more than 20, you’re paranoid.
If you get 10-20, you are normal.
If you get 10 or less, you’re fearless.
People who don’t have any are liars.

My main fears, including ones not listed above: dachshunds, cockroaches, clown dolls, super-duper tight enclosed spaces, being mocked/judged/etc.

And, Poltergeist instilled a few other “quirks” in me, in addition to the clown doll fear. I will not eat reheated chicken (rarely other kinds of meat either, but mostly chicken) and I cannot sleep with sheets or blankets dangling off the bed. They have to be tucked up underneath my feet. :-[

I don't mind, I can feel the sunshine

I am trying very hard today to keep the relaxed going, and not let the ECWFH (aka Evil Co-Worker From Hell) get to me. I told her flat out that I’m not going to come in and clean up HER mess after my vacation, just because she thinks she’s “too good” to work overtime. She laughed and told me to talk to our boss. Um. Damn right I will. I had to do ALL the work all by myself for 3-4 weeks. I put in overtime. There’s no way in hell it makes sense for her to be able to do the bare minimum while I’m gone and not do OT and expect me to catch it all up afterward. No way in hell.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have had SO much stuff brimming inside of me, wanting to pour out into a blog entry, and yet just no time to stop and write it. But now, now that I have time to take a lunch break and actually write? I can’t remember a single thing I was going to write about. Oops?

Vacation starts at 4:30 today, with Emily getting into town tomorrow morning. YAY! We’re going to take tomorrow fairly easy, and then Sunday we’re heading down to Galveston to play for 2 days. I’m hoping the weather holds out for us, or I’ll be mad! We’ve also go lots planned to do around town for the week she’s here. I’m a lil bouncy and she needs to get her soon! hah. Silly having to finish the work day and wait for tomorrow.

Aaaand… I have a couple of meme’s that have been sitting in my drafts to post. So I’m just gonna tack ’em on to this post, because I feel like it! ha.

Friday Five

From http://community.livejournal.com/fridayfiver/34360.html:
1) Tell us about where you live:
Two story house with a very big backyard. Smack dab in the middle of my block.

2) If you could change one thing about your home, what would it be?
No stairs! I love the size of the rooms in our house, but the stairs kill my knees.

3) Do you do laundry on a regular schedule?
Nope.

4) Describe the place that you sleep:
Nice fluffy pillowtop full-sized mattress in a black wrought iron bed frame. Sandy colored sheets made out of bamboo. They are the most comfortable sheets I’ve ever felt. So soft. And several pillows.

5) This morning: was it easy or difficult to start the day?
Easy, I guess? I woke up almost an hour before my alarm normally goes off. I kept trying to fall back to sleep but it never happened. Eventually I just got up and showered.

And, from here:
1) What was the first CD/Record/Album/Artist you ever bought and what format was it in? (Vinyl/Cassette/CD/MP3 Download)?
That I bought with my own money? I don’t remember. It would likely have been vinyl or cassette though.

2) How do you usually listen to music? (iPod/Walkman/Stereo/Radio)
iPod.

3) What is your favorite genre of music and why?
It varies? Typically country or pop/rock. My taste flip flops back and forth as to what is my main genre at the moment, but I usually listen to a little bit of everything.

4) What is your opinion on music video shows and music televion?
I don’t think it is what it used to be. There’s too much “other” stuff on music television stations now. I miss the days when I was a kid and MTV’s main programming was actually videos.

5) Do you usually agree with who the winners of the Grammy Awards are?I don’t pay much attention to them. I don’t really follow awards shows.
